Got an email from the embassy while I was up north saying that my passport card was ready, so I went there this morning to pick it up. When I got there, they told me there had been a problem with the cards--I guess the State Department felt the quality wasn't up to snuff, and they ordered a remake. I asked the lady if she thought it might not have been a good idea for them to send out another email to let us know that, so that we didn't have to come all the way down there. She agreed. Mismanagement wastes so much time!
